The Airport
Here I sit at the airport with 52 of my best friends. We have been trying to get out of Chicago for 24 hours now but have hit one road block after another. Everybody that we talk to tells us it will just be a few more hours but they have just decided to divulge the truth and tell us that there are no seats to anywhere in Europe, much less Tel Aviv. As we settle in to our new home we set our sights on the basics...you know clothes, toothpaste, deodorant and something to keep us entertained. Sleep really wouldn't hurt either but in the back of our minds we keep thinking that we will just sleep on the plane. Unfortunately, the only thing we have to blame is the huge thunderstorm that hit O'Hare airport a few minutes before we arrived. This same fiend forced us to land at a nearby airport and miss our connecting flight by a mere 45 min. As much as we would like to think that our superior technology can outsmart anything that nature has to throw at it, a simple thunderstorm has really done a number to our trip.

Sound utterly delightful. Wish you all the best of luck. Nice to know technology is always there for you when you need it most. Enjoy the weather! Miss you already. Thanks for everything this past week. It helped so much. See you come the end of the semester.
Erica,
I am excited that you got on a flight to Austria. I am guessing you will spend the night in Austria but will wait for the update. Kyle and I are getting ready to leave for Lake Powell and Utah tomorrow morning
Erica, I am wondering where in the world you are? You are already having quite the adventure.
Love you,
mom
Erica,
Your mom sent along the link to your blog. Can't wait to follow your adventures! Seems like they have already begun. Did you make it out of the country yet or are you still enjoying the Chicago airport :)?

I heard you finally got there! Hallelujah! I was worried you were going to spend the summer in the airport... You better keep writing on this blog because I want to know how everything is! I miss you!
hahaha, ps. i'm laughing really hard because i didn't think it would really publish my comment because i signed up once for a yahoo SN at that technology conference a few months ago and i couldn't remember what it even was. But at the conference we practiced making blogs and mine was a family one, and so i'm laughing that i did remember it, and that my name is Hemingway Family. Just so you know, its me. lol. Love you darling.
